Vibrating Chute (Pulsating Sluice Box) for Alluvial Gold Recovery

The Vibrating Chute, commonly known as a Pulsating Sluice Box, is an innovative piece of gravity separation equipment designed to conquer the biggest flaw of traditional fixed sluice boxes: "slating" or packing. When processing alluvial gold, fixed riffles quickly pack tight with heavy black sands, causing fine gold to slide directly over the top and into the tailings.

Our Vibrating Sluice Box for Gold combines the massive volume handling of a traditional sluice with the dynamic, stratifying pulsation of a Mineral Jig. By utilizing an eccentric drumming system underneath a flexible rubber bottom plate, the material bed is kept constantly loose and fluid.

Ideal for roughing and scavenging operations in river placer deposits, this Dynamic Sluice Box maintains enrichment ratios in the hundreds while completely eliminating the risk of packed riffles, ensuring you capture both coarse nuggets and micro-fine flour gold.

Why Choose Our Pulsating Sluice Box?

  • Never Slates or Packs: The continuous high-frequency pulsation of the rubber bottom plate (28-30 pulses per minute) keeps the heavy black sand loose. This ensures fine gold always has a place to sink and get trapped.
  • Micro-Gold Capture Specialist: While fixed sluices lose gold below 0.5mm, our pulsating action achieves a >95% recovery rate for 0.5–3mm particles, and increases the recovery rate of -0.1mm micro-fine gold by 40%.
  • Massive Energy Savings: It offers the dynamic separation of a jigging machine but consumes only 1/3 of the power. The enrichment ratio is exceptional, often exceeding 100x.
  • Anti-Clogging Design: The matrix of elliptical holes and retaining iron baffles reduces blinding (clogging) by 90%, allowing for long, uninterrupted run times between concentrate cleanouts.

How a Vibrating Chute Works (Triple Sorting Mechanism)

The machine utilizes a unique combination of three fluid dynamics to trap heavy minerals:

  1. Vortex Sorting: As the water and gravel flow over the 45° angular steel riffles, strong localized water vortices are generated. These vortices slow down the heavy gold, allowing it to drop into the collection zones.
  2. Drum Stratification (Pulsation): An eccentric shaft driven by an electric motor rapidly pushes up and down on the composite rubber bottom plate. This "jigging" action stratifies the bed, forcing the heaviest gold to the absolute bottom while lifting the lighter sand.
  3. Dynamic Discharge: The constant vibration and water flow automatically push the lighter, barren quartz and sand out the back of the chute, leaving only a small, highly concentrated volume of black sand and gold behind.

Application Scenarios

This equipment is highly versatile and easy to integrate into existing flowsheets:

  • Alluvial Gold Roughing: The perfect direct replacement for traditional stationary sluice boxes, instantly increasing your gold yield without changing your wash plant footprint.
  • Mobile Wash Plants: Can be easily mounted onto Mobile Trommel Screens to provide continuous, high-recovery operation in remote river panning sites.
  • Dredge Ships: Ideal for integration into sand dredgers for the primary extraction of heavy minerals.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: How does this differ from miner's moss (carpet) in a regular sluice?

A: Regular miner's moss relies purely on the speed of the water to keep the sand moving. If the water slows down, the moss fills with sand, packs hard, and rejects gold. Our Pulsating Sluice Box actively pushes the rubber bottom up and down via an electric motor. This mechanical action ensures the sand never has the chance to pack hard, keeping the "traps" open for gold at all times.

Q2: How do I retrieve the gold from the machine?

A: Every 4 hours (on average), you stop the feed and water. The machine is designed with a quick-release mechanism. You simply tilt the chute or lift the riffles, wash the highly concentrated heavy black sands and gold into a bucket, and restart the machine. The concentrate is then cleaned on a Shaking Table.
