The Plate and Frame Filter Press is a heavy-duty, high-efficiency solid-liquid separation machine. As the ultimate mechanical dewatering equipment at the end of a mineral processing circuit, it takes the thick slurry generated by Thickeners and utilizes immense hydraulic pressure to squeeze the remaining water out of the mud.
This process produces hard, easily transportable "filter cakes" and clean, reusable water. In modern mining, the Tailings Filter Press is essential for creating "dry-stack tailings," which eliminates the need for dangerous and environmentally risky wet tailing dams.
Beyond mining, this equipment is highly adaptable for processing viscous, fine materials in sand and gravel washing plants, chemical wastewater treatment, and metallurgical concentrate dewatering.

The machine operates in a cyclical batch process (Press, Fill, Squeeze, Release).

Note: The actual model selection must be determined based on your material's viscosity, daily processing capacity, and desired cake moisture. Please consult our engineering team for a custom configuration.
| Technical Item | Parameter Range |
|---|---|
| Applicable Feed Concentration | ≤ 10% Suspension (Usually pre-thickened) |
| Standard Working Feed Pressure | 0.3 - 1.5 MPa |
| Maximum Hydraulic Squeeze Pressure | ≥ 3 MPa |
| Number of Filter Chambers | 20 to 120 chambers (Customizable depending on model capacity) |
A: The most critical rule is to never apply hydraulic squeeze pressure if the chambers are empty, as this will warp or crack the expensive filter plates. Secondly, always control your feed pressure; do not exceed the rated pressure of the slurry pump. Finally, ensure the sealing edges of the plates are cleaned of any residual dirt before pressing them back together, or the machine will spray mud during the next cycle.
A: Check the hydraulic oil level and pressure daily. The hydraulic oil should be completely changed quarterly. The fabric filter cloths should be thoroughly cleaned (usually with a high-pressure power washer) on a monthly basis, or more frequently if the material is incredibly sticky and blinds the pores.
