High-Precision Linear Vibrating Screen for Fine Powders and Granules

The Linear Vibrating Screen (ZKB Series) is a highly efficient screening machine driven by dual vibration motors. It is specially developed for the precise screening, grading, and dewatering of fine to medium powdery and granular materials. Unlike inclined circular screens used for heavy rocks, the Horizontal Vibrating Screen utilizes a straight-line tossing motion to move material evenly across the deck.

This equipment is widely utilized across multiple industries, including mineral processing, coal washing, plastics, abrasives, chemicals, and building materials. It is particularly exceptional at processing dry, powdery materials with particle sizes ranging from 0.074mm to 5mm without blinding the screen mesh.

Featuring a fully enclosed structure to prevent dust leakage, our Linear Vibrating Sieve offers an environmentally friendly, low-noise, and highly accurate grading solution for your fine particle separation needs.

Core Advantages of Our Dry Powder Screen

  • High Screening Precision: The straight-line tossing motion ensures materials spread evenly across the entire width of the screen, maximizing the screening area and resulting in highly accurate multi-stage classification.
  • Eco-Friendly Enclosed Structure: Designed with a fully sealed cover. This completely prevents fine dust from escaping into the air during dry powder screening, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • No Welding Deformation: The heavy-duty screen box and crossbeams are connected using high-strength bolts (cold-riveted) instead of welding. This eliminates thermal stress, drastically reducing the risk of the frame cracking under continuous vibration.
  • Stable Dual-Motor Drive: Equipped with two synchronized vibration motors or block eccentric exciters connected by flexible tire couplings. This guarantees smooth starting, low noise (<75dB), and highly reliable operation.

How a Linear Vibrating Screen Works

The ZKB series uses the principle of synchronized counter-rotation to generate a linear excitation force.

  1. Dual-Motor Drive: Two identical vibration motors (or exciter shafts) are mounted horizontally. They rotate synchronously but in opposite directions.
  2. Linear Excitation: The centrifugal forces generated by the eccentric blocks cancel each other out in the parallel direction, while stacking together in the perpendicular direction. This creates a single, powerful linear force.
  3. Material Movement: Driven by this force, the material on the screen is tossed upward and forward in a continuous, straight-line jumping motion.
  4. Classification: As the material leaps forward, particles smaller than the mesh aperture fall through to the lower decks, while oversized particles continue to the discharge chute at the end, achieving multi-stage separation.

Scope of Application

Due to its precision and enclosed design, the linear screen is widely used in:

  • Mineral Processing & Coal: Fine grading of washed coal, quartz sand, and dry aggregate powders.
  • Chemical & Fertilizer Industry: Screening granular fertilizers, catalysts, and fine chemical powders.
  • Abrasives & Metallurgy: Classifying silicon carbide, corundum, and metal powders.
  • Plastics & Building Materials: Sorting plastic granules, cement, and dry slaked lime.

Technical Specifications (ZKB Series)

Below are standard parameters for reference. The exact capacity depends on the material's bulk density, moisture content, and the required mesh aperture size. Multi-deck configurations (1 to 4 layers) are available.

Model Screen Area (m²) Max Feed Size (mm) Screening Range (mm) Capacity (t/h) Motor Power (kW)
ZKB 1020 2.0 < 50 0.074 - 5 5 - 20 2 x 0.75
ZKB 1230 3.6 < 50 0.074 - 10 10 - 40 2 x 1.5
ZKB 1530 4.5 < 50 0.074 - 10 15 - 50 2 x 2.2
ZKB 1836 6.48 < 50 0.074 - 20 20 - 80 2 x 3.0

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: How do I choose between a Linear Screen and a Circular Vibrating Screen?

A: If you are screening large, heavy, coarse rocks (like crushed granite from a jaw crusher), use a Circular Vibrating Screen. If you are screening very fine powders, sands, or granules (under 5mm) and require high precision or a dust-proof enclosure, the Linear Vibrating Screen is the correct choice.

Q2: What is the benefit of the enclosed dust cover?

A: When screening very fine materials like flour, chemical powders, or dry cement, the vibration can cause significant dust to become airborne. The fully enclosed cover prevents this dust leakage, protecting the health of your workers and complying with environmental regulations.
