I. Product Overview
This wet strong magnetic separator is a high-efficiency equipment specially designed for the separation of weak magnetic minerals. It adopts rare earth permanent magnetic materials to build a strong magnetic field system, which is characterized by high magnetic field strength, large processing capacity and good sorting effect. It is especially suitable for wet sorting of weakly magnetic minerals such as limonite, manganese ore, ilmenite, etc., as well as iron removal and purification of non-metallic minerals.


Equipment structure and working principle

1. Equipment structure

  • Main frame: high-strength steel structure supports the whole equipment.

  • Feeding system: including feeding hopper and lower plate to ensure uniform feeding.

  • Magnetic separation system:

    • Weak magnetic roller (Φ300mm) is used for pre-selection of strong magnetic minerals.

    • Strong magnetic roller (Φ380/500mm) is the main sorting device.

  • Collection system:

    • Ore storage hopper

    • Spiral discharge pipe

    • Tailings discharge device

2. Sorting Principle
This machine utilizes the rare earth permanent magnetic material to generate a strong magnetic field of 9000-16000mT, combined with hydraulic sorting to form a composite sorting force field. When the slurry passes through the sorting area, the weakly magnetic minerals are adsorbed to the surface of the magnetic cylinder by the magnetic field, and then rotate with the drum to the discharging area; the non-magnetic minerals are driven by the water flow into the tailing system, realizing efficient separation.

V. Operation Guide

  • Prepare to start the machine:

    • Check whether the waterway system is smooth

    • Confirm the normal discharge device of ore storage bucket

    • Adjust the rotating speed of magnetic cylinder to the preset value (usually 30-60rpm).

  • Operation Adjustment:

    • Maintain uniform feeding of ore, avoid material breakage or overloading.

    • Adjust the water level in the sorting chamber according to the mineral characteristics

    • Observe the quality of concentrate, and adjust the speed and water volume at the right time.

  • Shutdown procedure:

    • First stop feeding, continue to run for 5 minutes to flush the system.

    • Shut down the machine after turning off the water supply

    • Regularly clean the storage hopper and pipeline


Maintenance

  • Daily maintenance:

    • Check the surface wear of magnetic cylinder

    • Clean debris in the feed opening

    • Lubricate transmission parts

  • Regular maintenance:

    • Check magnetic system performance every 500 hours

    • Replace bearing grease annually

    • Check electrical system insulation

  • Caution:

    • Do not allow foreign metal objects to enter the sorting area

    • Avoid prolonged idling of the equipment

    • Drain the slurry in the sorting chamber when stopping the machine.
