DXJ type series high voltage electrostatic separator is an advanced mineral sorting equipment independently researched and developed in China, which is specially designed for the selection of high value minerals. Working Principle

  • Separation process
    Pre-treatment: minerals are heated to 150-250℃ in the hopper (30 minutes)
    Charge giving: minerals enter the corona electric field to obtain negative charge
    Minerals are separated:

    • Conductor minerals: rapid conduction charge → by centrifugal force → front receiving hopper

    • Non-conductor minerals: maintain charge → mirror adsorption → brush removal → rear receiving hopper

    • Semiconductor minerals: intermediate properties → middle hopper

  • Electric field system
    Corona electrode: Φ0.32mm nickel-chromium resistance wire, adjustable spacing
    Static electrode: Φ30-35mm stainless steel tube, angle adjustable
    Working voltage: up to 60kV (oil-immersed transformer)

Operation procedure

  • Start-up process
    Pre-heating stage: turn on the heating of the ore bucket (30 minutes); start the drum heating to 50-60℃.
    Voltage adjustment: High-voltage power supply from zero gradually rise to the working voltage (≤ 60kV)
    Ore feeding control: adjust the lower feeder to make the ore layer evenly cover 1/3 of the drum surface.

  • Safety norms
    Discharge rod must be used to contact the electrode for 2-3 seconds before maintenance.
    It is forbidden to open the door of sorting room during operation
    Discharge and cut off all power supply after stopping the machine.
