Overview of Elevator is a kind of fixed device mechanical conveying equipment.

Elevator is a fixed device of mechanical conveying equipment, suitable for continuous vertical lifting of powder, granular and small pieces of materials, widely used in mineral processing plants, feed mills, flour mills, rice mills, oil mills, starch mills, as well as grain warehouses, ports and terminals and other places of the bulk material lifting operations. It can be used for conveying crushed ore, limestone, coal, gypsum, clinker, dry clay and other lumpy and granular materials, as well as raw materials, cement, coal powder and other powdery materials.

Classification and Characteristics
Classified according to the unloading method:

  • Centrifugal unloading: bucket speed is faster, suitable for less abrasive powder, granular and small block materials;

  • Gravity unloading: bucket speed is slower, suitable for large faceted, high specific gravity lumpy materials, such as limestone, clinker, etc.;

  • Mixed discharge: both centrifugal and gravity discharge characteristics.

Classified according to the traction member:

  • Ring chain: simple structure, firm connection, wear-resistant, but self-weight is larger;

  • Plate chain: strong structure, light weight, large lifting capacity, but the articulated parts are easy to wear;

  • Adhesive tape: simple structure, not applicable to high abrasive materials, is divided into:

    • Ordinary tape: applicable material temperature ≤ 60℃;

    • Steel rope tape: applicable material temperature ≤ 80℃;

    • Heat-resistant adhesive tape: applicable material temperature ≤ 120℃;

  • Ring chain and plate chain: applicable material temperature ≤ 250℃.

Scope of application
This series of bucket elevator is suitable for non-abrasive or low abrasive powder, granule and small pieces of materials, such as coal, cement, sand, clay, ore and so on. Adopting ring chain traction, it can convey materials with temperature not exceeding 250℃, and the maximum lifting height is generally up to 40 meters.

Working Principle
The material is scooped up from the bottom hopper, elevated to the top by conveyor belt or chain, and put into the receiving tank after turning around the top wheel. The transmission mode is divided into:

  • Belt drive: adopting rubber belt, equipped with driving roller and redirecting roller;

  • Chain drive: equipped with double drive chains and corresponding sprockets.

The equipment is usually equipped with a sealed casing, which can effectively prevent the dust from rising and keep the environment clean.
